BAND
Group pages for teams, scouts, church groups
Scouts, church group and the travel team in one view
BAND groups multiply fast. The assistant reads each group's calendar and email notices and builds one list of what's actually happening this week. BAND groups can have calendars you can sync, and BAND sends email notices. The assistant combines them across all your groups.
What it handles for you
- Events from every BAND group on one family calendar
- New posts that need an RSVP or payment flagged
- A weekly "what's happening across your groups" note
Set it up, step by step
No tech experience needed. Take it one step at a time.
What you’ll need
- The app account you already use
- Your family calendar
- The email address the app sends to
- About 15 minutes
Steps
- Sign in to BAND the way you normally do.
- Open the app’s Settings or Schedule area and look for “Subscribe,” “Sync calendar” or “iCal.” Copy that link.
- In your family calendar choose “Add calendar” then “From URL,” paste it and save.
- Back in BAND, open notification settings and make sure email alerts are turned on.
- Make sure those emails go to the inbox you connected to Grok Bot.
- Tell Grok Bot: “Add BAND games and changes to my weekly summary.”
Stuck? Try this: Events not showing up? Calendar links can take a few hours to refresh. Email alerts still cover last-minute changes in the meantime.
How Grok Bot connects
Calendar sync plus email: events come through a calendar link, and Grok Bot reads the app’s notification emails for last-minute changes.
