Google Family Link

Screen time and kids' Android devices

Screen time rules, without the battle

Family Link controls your kid's Android. The assistant helps you check usage and adjust bedtime limits after you sign in, and suggests rules that match your house. The assistant uses the Family Link website after you sign in, and changes happen only with your OK.

What you’ll need

  • Your Google Family Link account (or a guest visit, for some sites)
  • About 5 minutes, plus a one-time sign-in

Steps

  1. Decide what you want help with, for example “fill my cart” or “find a time.”
  2. Ask Grok Bot to open Google Family Link. If it needs your account, it will show a sign-in screen and you type your password yourself.
  3. Grok Bot does the clicking and searching, then shows you what it found or filled in.
  4. Review it and say “yes” before anything is ordered, booked or paid.
  5. For repeat jobs, say: “Do this every week and check with me first.”
Stuck? Try this: Site asks “Are you a robot?” Grok Bot will hand you the screen for a moment so you can tap the box, then carry on.

How Grok Bot connects

Browser help: Grok Bot uses the Google Family Link website in its own browser after you sign in. It doesn’t need a special connection, and it asks before it orders, books or pays.
