Ring
Video doorbell and cameras
Packages at the door, not in the alerts pile
Ring sends motion alerts all day. The assistant cares about the useful ones: package delivered, a kid home from school, the plumber at the door. The assistant reads Ring notification emails. It doesn't view live video.
What it handles for you
- Expected deliveries matched with door alerts
- After-school arrivals noted
- Repeated unusual motion flagged
Set it up, step by step
No tech experience needed. Take it one step at a time.
What you’ll need
- Your Ring account
- The email inbox it sends to
- About 5 minutes
Steps
- Sign in to Ring the way you normally do.
- Open the app’s Settings or Notifications area.
- Turn on email notifications for the things you care about, like messages, reminders or due dates.
- Check that the email address listed is the one you connected to Grok Bot.
- Tell Grok Bot: “When Ring emails arrive, give me the one-line version and remind me of deadlines.”
Stuck? Try this: Not seeing emails? Check your spam or Promotions folder and mark one as “Not spam” so the next ones land in your inbox.
How Grok Bot connects
Email: Grok Bot reads the notification emails Ring already sends you, in the inbox you connected. Nothing new is installed inside Ring.
