Schoology
Course assignments and grades
Every class, every due date, one calendar
Your high schooler has seven Schoology courses and you can't keep track of any of them. The assistant reads the calendar feed and the alert emails, then sends a short "big things this week" note. Schoology offers a calendar export and email notifications. Together they let the assistant track assignments and catch grade or update emails as they arrive.
What it handles for you
- Upcoming tests and projects across every course in one list
- Grade-posted emails summarized ("B+ on the history essay")
- A heads-up when several big deadlines pile into one week
Set it up, step by step
No tech experience needed. Take it one step at a time.
What you’ll need
- The app account you already use
- Your family calendar
- The email address the app sends to
- About 15 minutes
Steps
- Sign in to Schoology the way you normally do.
- Open the app’s Settings or Schedule area and look for “Subscribe,” “Sync calendar” or “iCal.” Copy that link.
- In your family calendar choose “Add calendar” then “From URL,” paste it and save.
- Back in Schoology, open notification settings and make sure email alerts are turned on.
- Make sure those emails go to the inbox you connected to Grok Bot.
- Tell Grok Bot: “Add Schoology games and changes to my weekly summary.”
Stuck? Try this: Events not showing up? Calendar links can take a few hours to refresh. Email alerts still cover last-minute changes in the meantime.
How Grok Bot connects
Calendar sync plus email: events come through a calendar link, and Grok Bot reads the app’s notification emails for last-minute changes.
