Skylight
Wall-mounted family calendar display
What's on the fridge screen is always current
The Skylight frame in the kitchen is only as good as what's on it. The assistant keeps the feeding calendars accurate, so the screen the kids look at is right. Skylight displays calendars synced to it, such as Google, Outlook or iCloud. The assistant updates the calendar that feeds Skylight, so changes appear on the frame.
What it handles for you
- Team and school changes reach the kitchen screen
- Kids see tomorrow's plan without asking you
- Chore and meal entries kept in sync where your setup supports it
Set it up, step by step
No tech experience needed. Take it one step at a time.
What you’ll need
- The app account you already use
- Your family calendar (Google, Apple or Outlook)
- About 10 minutes
Steps
- Sign in to Skylight on the website or app, the same way you normally do.
- Open the app’s Settings, Calendar or Schedule area and look for words like “Subscribe,” “Sync calendar,” “Export” or “iCal.”
- Copy the calendar link it gives you. It usually starts with webcal:// or https://.
- Open your family calendar and choose “Add calendar” then “From URL” (or “Subscribe”). Paste the link and save.
- Wait a few minutes, then check that a few Skylight events appear on your calendar.
- Tell Grok Bot: “Watch my Skylight calendar and warn me about changes.”
Stuck? Try this: No calendar link anywhere? Search the app’s help pages for “calendar sync.” Some programs only offer it on the website, not the phone app.
How Grok Bot connects
Calendar sync: the app publishes a calendar link (often called a feed, subscribe link or iCal link). Once that link is added to your family calendar, Grok Bot reads the events from there.
