TeamSnap
Team schedules, availability, snack duty
Practice moved to Field 3? Both parents knew in a minute.
It's 6:40 on a Tuesday and practice just moved to Field 3. The assistant saw the change in the TeamSnap schedule, updated the family calendar and told both of you, so nobody is driving to the wrong park. TeamSnap gives each team a calendar subscribe link. With it on your family calendar, the assistant watches for time and location changes and can tie them to the rest of your evening, like dinner, pickups and the other kid's game.
What it handles for you
- Time and field changes caught and passed to both parents
- Your snack-duty or volunteer week flagged a few days ahead
- The weekend lined up across teams: who plays where, and who's driving
Set it up, step by step
No tech experience needed. Take it one step at a time.
What you’ll need
- The app account you already use
- Your family calendar (Google, Apple or Outlook)
- About 10 minutes
Steps
- Sign in to TeamSnap on the website or app, the same way you normally do.
- Open the app’s Settings, Calendar or Schedule area and look for words like “Subscribe,” “Sync calendar,” “Export” or “iCal.”
- Copy the calendar link it gives you. It usually starts with webcal:// or https://.
- Open your family calendar and choose “Add calendar” then “From URL” (or “Subscribe”). Paste the link and save.
- Wait a few minutes, then check that a few TeamSnap events appear on your calendar.
- Tell Grok Bot: “Watch my TeamSnap calendar and warn me about changes.”
How Grok Bot connects
Calendar sync: the app publishes a calendar link (often called a feed, subscribe link or iCal link). Once that link is added to your family calendar, Grok Bot reads the events from there.
